Adrienne Roberson’s cool sports job: Bowie Baysox PA announcer

Adrienne Roberson started out as a theater major at the University of Tennessee but quickly switched to broadcasting when she realized she could combine two passions: sports and speaking into a microphone. She loved listening to Casey Kasem and Dick Clark on the radio, and she grew up in Philadelphia, going to Eagles and Phillies games with her dad. Philadelphia 76ers Well Represented at Rio Olympics

The Sixers have two players participating in the Olympics, Dario Saric and Sergio Rodriguez.  But on top of players participating, the Sixers are also represented behind the mic. The man who calls the play-by-play for all of the Sixers games on Comcast Sports Network, Marc Zumoff, will be calling the women’s basketball games for NBC Sports. Not only Zumoff, but his partner, Alaa Abdelnaby, will be calling the games on the radio for Westwood One. Seasoned Commentator Marc Kestecher Named Lead Play-by-Play Voice for the NBA on ESPN Radio

Longtime, versatile ESPN Radio voice Marc Kestecher will serve as the lead play-by-play commentator for the NBA on ESPN Radio beginning with the 2016-17 NBA season. He will pair with analysts including Jon Barry, PJ Carlesimo and Kara Lawson to call regular-season, All-Star and playoff games.  He will work with Hall of Famer Hubie Brown on the NBA Conference Finals and the NBA Finals.
